	Operation on 13cm band was very emotive during the last contest. The story started about a hour before beginning of the contest. We had problems with PTT switching. Lada USW, the MW guru, was solving these problems. I was so happy when he fixed all problems on time. The contest started and PTT switch worked. Thus, we decided to dismount XVRT and Lada took it to his shack a few kilometers far from our hill and he tried to repair it. At the same time (1 hour after beginning of the contest) I started to operate on 9cm band.		But, I found out that I couldn’t hear beacon DB0FGB, which we use to hear 589- 599! We did some tests. Unfortunately, there was every indication that RX is dead. Thus, we decided to dismount XVRT and Lada took it to his shack a few kilometers far from our hill and he tried to repair it. At the same time (1 hour after beginning of the contest) I started to operate on 9cm band.

	After 3 hours from the beginning Lada came back to our contest hill. He said that he had to change the input transistor in receiver. He connected XVRT and I tried to listen DB0FGB. Wow, DB0FGB was peaking 599+! TNX Lada, good job! I tried to complete a QSO. Everything was working. Thus, Lada mounted it back to the mast. At 17:57 GMT I started to operate on 13cm band. When I completed 4th QSO, our competitors OL9W gave me serial number 17! It was motivating, HI. I worked hard to make up for the lost time. 	I went to sleep a hour later than usually. ~~Then~~, in the morning I felt like zombie, HI. But motivation was so huge, so I continued to work hard. 	I would like to mention that I got funny report 33 during a QSO in the contest. After that I panicked and I asked another station if there is a problem with my modulation. 	We are really satisfied with result of 13cm band. Result on 9cm is not bad as well. We are on the 1st place ~~in OK~~ on both bands in the preliminary score sheet. 	MW contest bývá obvykle nejméně náročný contest z celé sezóny. Spodní pásma náročná na přípravu hardware před contestem se nejedou, takže bývá dost času na "společenské záležitosti". Tentokrát ale bylo málo lidí, takže na žádné velké "poflakování" po kopci nedošlo. Navíc se na začátku závodu objevila dost zásadní závada na 13cm. Více k jednotlivým pásmům dále...
